About CCCN

Since 2003, The Manitoba Nurses' Union (MNU) has offered programs specifically designed to help internationally-educated nurses improve their English skills and knowledge related to Canadian nursing culture. We saw a need for online programming that was flexible, and designed for those that work shift work that cannot commit to traditional face to face classes.  We also wanted to ensure that our program was accessible to Internationally Educated Nurses that lived in both urban and rural centers.

Since 2003, we have had more than 1600 Internationally Educated Nurses participate in various programs we offer. From 2003 - 2013 our program was funded by Manitoba Labour & Immigration. Since 2014 our program has been funded by Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada (IRCC).  In 2016 we expanded our programming to Internationally Educated Nurses Living across Canada.
